Available Professional Development Courses

November Learning - Web Literacy For Educators (free for Teacher Center members)

We are currently looking for teachers and/or administrators in the area to offer their expertise.  But wait, there's more...  We'll pay you for spreading your knowledge.  Please e-mail me (email on home page) with your ideas for a course.  I will run it by our board.  If they accept it, we'll start to schedule times.

Here's a list of other workshops that we currently offer:

Understanding Generational Poverty Ann Smith / Maggie Smith, Salamanca

A note about Tim's courses:  I am very flexible with the courses or help that I will offer.  If you have a group of teachers that want to apply a particular program to their grade level or discipline, I'll come in and work with them, trying to find solutions to their particular problem or need.  I do recommend that we set aside a larger block of time, either after school or during the day.  The best way to learn this stuff is to sit down and perform a task that you need for your classroom.
I will make myself available as much as possible, but please remember that I'm a one man show.

Get some help from the Teacher Center with the Breeze program:

If you need some tech help, feel free to call me.  I can even help you over your computer.  BOCES has been allowing me to use their Breeze software, and it has a really cool meeting feature.  All you need is your computer and a microphone (or your telephone) to do a meeting with me on your computer.

Check out this link -
Sample Breeze meeting - to see what I mean.  This is a sample meeting that I recorded.  Your speakers need to be on.  We even hope to have some of our board meetings using Breeze.
